News Cyber Security Officer

The News Cyber Security Officer will be responsible for leading the business-driven and aligned cyber security strategy, engagement and solution delivery for the News team. The Cyber Security Officer will manage cyber security practices, lead development and execution of cyber security strategies, drive the delivery of technical solutions, enforce policy, and act as the primary security subject matter expert while engaging with and supporting the News group. The individual will represent Cyber Security in all capacities including project leadership, program engagements, voting on behalf of Cyber Security from ISO perspective, and representing Cyber Security on key meetings. All solutions and engagement efforts will require a keen sense of business priorities, strategies and operations in order to be successful, instituting core technology function integration where operationally necessary or required. This position requires an experienced security professional with exceptional business acumen and technical knowledge, particularly experienced in proactive security defense strategies and an ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A successful candidate is expected to interact effectively and strategically with business leaders and Senior News leadership, other ISO's, the Cyber Security teams, Enterprise Information Technology teams, internal audit, clients and regulators. In addition, it is expected for this candidate to maintain presence when engaging with internal and external parties, including the ability to build eminence in their respective industry.
